Under the motto 'If you're not curious, you won't learn anything,' students at the Goethe School developed creative and sustainable digital solutions for the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as part of the project. They were accompanied and supported by experts from the PROTOYS project workshop, which promotes interdisciplinary approaches under the motto' innovation across disciplines' and teaches modern digital skills in a practical and future-oriented manner.
'Goethe hackt' combines playful and creative programming, known as 'vibe coding,' with an intensive design thinking process. The aim is to enable young people to use digital technologies responsibly and independently, and to capitalise on the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence.
'This award shows that digital learning is much more than just teaching technology. It's about giving young people space for ideas and innovation and making them active shapers of our digital future,' says Dr. Oliver Burmeister from the PROTOYS project workshop and the Goethe School in Hanover.
